As our co-founder, the education experts at the University of Helsinki are a part of our daily working team. Together, we constantly strive to research, plan, and innovate for a successful implementation of the Finnish early education system. The pedagogy and curriculum are designed to provide purposeful play, to nurture with guidance from highly qualified teachers, and to offer opportunity to adopt learning as a natural process shaped by one’s interests. Finnish education has been globally recognized for its quality, with Finland consistently ranked at the top of the PISA charts. The 2018 OECD country report on Finland credits the country’s success to its early childhood education. As a result, Finland has become the most progressive, happiest, innovative, and greenest country in the world.

In addition, HEI Schools have been recognized for our outstanding performances through the Vuoden Huiput Grand Prix, Best Service & Product Award (2018), the Fast Company World Changing Ideas Award (2019), and the Hundred Innovation Awards (2019 and 2020).

Although competition is never in our vocabulary, we cannot help but feel proud of our accomplishments in contributing to the field of early childhood education.
